I had never watched the Westminster Dog Show including the history of Westminster as it was shown on CNBC tonight. A very interesting story and a wonderful account of how the dogs who served in the armed forces were honored by the Westminster Kennel Club after both World Wars. Dogs who were a part of search and rescue and recovery after 9-11 were also honored by the Club.

But the most fascinating part of the show were the individual dogs being shown at this year's show. A detailed history of each dog shown was given by the show announcer, a big help for me because some of these dogs I had never seen, or if I had seen them I didn't know anything about them until tonight.

Josie, my grand dog, the cairn terrier who lives at Bill and Nancy's, will have her turn at the closing show tomorrow. I'll be glued to the TV!
